Swap and Shop – Nov. 20, 11am – 1pm

October 2, 2016
Written by: Talia

How does it work?

For free entry, it’s time to get sorting…

Bring a bag (or two) of gently-used kids’ clothes to Buddings by Nov. 18, to be sorted and sized for the swap.

Entry includes up to 10 items to take home.

After that, it’s just $1 per item, with CHANCES for PRIZES for every item you take.

I’m new to this baby thing. What if I have nothing to swap?

No problem, just turn up on Nov. 20 to browse the racks and stacks. Entry is $10 per family or group and includes up to 10 items.

Can I bring a friend? Should I bring my kids? Will they have fun?

Yes, yes, and yes! Clothing swaps are way more fun with friends, and trying stuff on is part of the process. We’ll have everything sized and organized and areas for trying it on.

The event will feature snacks and treats from Nourish Vancouver, and bringing your friend might save you $60 because if they join Buddings, you both get your December memberships on the house.

Bring lots of friends. 🙂

Is it clothing only? Can I bring accessories?

Absolutely! We’re accepting toys, kids’ accessories, and gear of all kinds! In fact, if your 2016 Halloween costume stretched to its end, bring it, too!

Plus, if you’ve aged out of diapers, and have some leftover, bring them too! We’ll pass them along to Bottoms Up – a non-profit delivering children’s essentials to families in the Downtown East Side.

What happens to my stuff?

Hopefully it goes to families in your community for another year of use. Anything left over at the end of the day gets donated to charities that support women and children.

Where does the money go?

All the proceeds will also go to Bottoms Up – to be honest, we host these things for fun. 🙂
