Field Trip to Yaletown Roundhouse
Field Trip to the Roundhouse
On Thursday, March 19th the Buddings Children visited the historical steam engine at Yaletown Roundhouse.
On the field trip the children learned about the different parts of the steam engine and the purpose that it
provided many years ago to citizens of Vancouver.
The children were also fascinated by the display train model by the kiosk near the train exhibit.
The children closely observed the different areas that the train stops and picks up passengers,
as they listened to the volunteer at the train exhibit.
The children were able to climb into the train and observe the insides of the steam engine.
One of the most interesting activities was ringing the horn of the train and listening to the sound of the bell.
The children also learned about the different parts of the steam engine as they explored the outside
of the train.
