BKC Fall 2018

All About Us: Developing Positive Relationships

“I speak to everyone in the same way. Whether he is the garbage man, or the president of the university.” – Albert Einstein

Communication is Key!

Each week during All About Us our class ensures the use of positive communication. Whether we’re learning about feelings or what happened to the dinosaurs, we have our listening ears on and our minds open. We also discover what happens first hand when we’re quick to judge, and how it makes others feel when we forget to be kind.

  • Respect is one of the most important things we can teach children
  • Teaching respect sets children up to develop positive relationships and accept others for who they are
  • Understanding the importance of respect helps children learn to listen and communicate effectively
  • Respect encourages children to take responsibility for their own mistakes and better tolerate the mistakes of others

All About Us: The Highlights

Recognizing, expressing, and managing our feelings. During our F is for Feelings class we made squishy stress balloons.

Sending in empty food pouches to be recycled. Each time we send in pouches to Terracycle we raise money for Hives for Humanity

We wrote thank you cards to people in our lives who help us.

Join us this upcoming winter season for Begin Again. A BKC surrounding inventions and creative thinking!
