BKC Presents: Spring Things!

and all the Spring Things: changes, moods, beauty, excitement, less layers, long days, insects, dreams and so many other uncountable, divers and inspiring facts! This season program is plenty of experiential learning, outdoor activities and connections between our Big Kids lives and the city's nature. These interactions will bloom new spaces, interests, curiosity and enjoyment beyond the season!

We are also very excited to welcome Hana Klinekera and Lynn Truong to the BKC Team! Join their afternoon classes at Storybook Buddings every Tuesday and Friday!

Every afternoon, from March until May, our teachers count down a structured educational program.

Through sharing and team work, children practice the rhythms and routines they'll need in kindergarten:

• Cleaning up
• Sitting for circle time 
• Story time among peers and teachers 
• Music and songs 
• Art projects
• Science experiments 
• Weekly field trips around greater Vancouver
• Sharing and reflecting
• .... and much more!

Weekday classes run daily from 1 - 4 pm at Broadway and Storybook, and develop over the 13-week season. Sign up for your favorite classes every week, or mix and match across the board!

Where do flowers originate from? What flowers symbolize? Is there any relationship between children and flowers? Big Kids, Mondays are the best way to start every spring's week and bloom your curiosity. Games, yoga, flowers and more with Harumi! 

Storybook spring weeks start at the park! What a great chance to be outside and explore the places that surround us! Let´s get ready to walk, play and have fun with friends! Afternoons are filled with surprises and new adventures, join us and be part of them!

We communicate with words but also signs! There are so many kinds of signs to express how we are feeling and how we indicate rules, warnings, places, etc in the world that surrounds us. This class will bring our Big Kids to see beyond the words!

This class aims to rise awareness of all the spring colors, numbers, plants, shapes and feelings. Big kids will explore, practice and learn about life skills of communication, listening, identification, creation, cooperation and ultimately connection!

Have you hear about Springstatistics? Yvette likes to create new words and play with numbers! Be ready for counting, writing and even combining numbers.  Children love to count almost all of the things they see around their environment and Yvette's class will surely help them to recognize the numeric language in our lives!

What's considered a hobby? Johanna is excited show us what kind of activities are done for enjoyment alongside their history, fun and the sensory learning. In this is class, Big Kids will awake all their senses and creativity! Are you ready to find out what are you interested in?

Some little friends visit us in spring! Every week Big Kids will meet some of them and learn about their little big worlds! Butterflies, ladybugs, bees, mosquitoes...are adorable. beautiful and, sometimes, mischievous! Let's find out more about their hidden powers!

This class solves all the mysteries around the most common topic in the world: The weather! Spring is a season with plenty of meteorologic changes and Tomomi will show our Big Kids how to recognize them through music and exercise! Let's  sing, dance, be creative and play by the weather ear!

This spring, Lynn brings the season's nature at Storybook! This class has everything that you can see and everything that you want to learn about this time of the year: animals, climate, songs and flowers are some of the contents! Join us and discover what makes nature grow!
