What's happening?
Flexible occasional care for toddlers and preschoolers at our Storybook Centre has been a great option for families since 2018, even when limited to 40 hours a month.
We love serving families when they need it, but the centre is empty in the late afternoons...
In 2022, we began researching a new program for elementary kids to fill up that time, and as summer approaches, we're getting closer to making that idea a reality!
Imagine! Art, outings, science, and games - when you want it! -weekdays from 7:30 - 9am and 3 - 6pm, and during school closures, for 5 - 12 year olds.

The City of Vancouver has approved our application, and we are finalizing details with Vancouver Coastal Health, before we can launch our program.
Next Tuesday, we are inviting families in Kensington/Cedar Cottage to share their thoughts on how we can best serve the community.
The online meeting will cover our plans so far, and answer questions submitted in advance. To join and/or submit questions email us here.
While the licence is pending, we are not advertising the program, or accepting families to the waitlist. Please keep in mind that information is being gathered for research purposes and participation does not guarantee... anything.
